SkyMap OnSite is our free app for Android and iOS that makes it easy to document and communicate directly from the site. The app’s photo function lets you take pictures that are saved with GPS coordinates and descriptions. This makes it possible to document work steps, report obstacles and deviations, and support quantity control and invoicing – all on-site and straight into the SkyMap platform.
Photo on-site with location data
SkyMap OnSite – a powerful tool for documenting and communicating directly from the field. The app’s photo function allows the user to take pictures on-site. Each photo is automatically saved with location information (GPS coordinates) and the ability to add descriptions. This means that you can quickly and easily document where a job has been done, where a problem has arisen or where something needs to be fixed – directly on site.
Photos are seamlessly sent from the site to the office and automatically saved as Points of Interest (POI) in the project’s SkyView, making the information available to the entire project team in real time – and placed exactly where the photo was taken, providing a clear visual overview of project status.
- Document work steps
Photograph, for example, excavations, pipe laying, curbs, paving and other parts of the work, directly on site. - Show work before it is covered
Take a picture of, for example, a pipe installation before backfilling takes place – important for both documentation and control. - Report obstacles or deviations
For example, photograph a damaged pipe, a geotechnical obstacle or a faulty delivery, with precise location details. - Support for quantity control and invoicing
Photo documentation with GPS position can facilitate verification of the extent of work performed.
Direct access to documentation
In addition to the photo function, SkyMap OnSite also has a direct connection to the project's File Manager. This means that you can easily access the latest documents, drawings and files on-site - directly from your mobile phone. You can also download files to your phone, and view PDF files via the mobile phone's built-in PDF reader.
Quality assurance
With the help of the app, the project gets a powerful tool for documenting, monitoring and communicating – something that leads to more efficient and quality-assured implementation.
The free app will be available soon on Google Play and the App Store.
